Do your children ask why our Devis and Devathas are often represented with four arms? What are the ayudhas they hold in their hands? Does each symbol represent something deeper?
Hinduism is highly symbolic in nature unlike Abrahamic religions where everything from a book is meant to be understood literally.
When children do not know this basic difference, they get timid and tongue-tied, always feeling defensive and at a loss to explain the profound meanings behind the symbolism - meanings that reveal themselves at various levels depending on the mental state and readiness of the practising Hindu.
Enrol your children (open to anyone from 12-19 years of age) in this unique, one-of-a-kind interactive workshop where they can ask questions and learn from the expert.
Gift your children the power of deep knowledge and confidence in their identity.
The course will be taught by Shri Ramakrishna Kongalla, Asst. Professor at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, a scholar and researcher on temple iconography. Listen here to his podcast with us on Hindu temples.
